1966 Wayne Manor Bruce Wayne TV Batman house
TV's Mannix used the Wayne Manor house (380 San Rafael Avenue in Pasadena, California) in several episodes. In this one, S1E21, 1968 we see outside parts of the house we've never seen in 1966 Batman starring Adam West and Burt Ward. Three different clips, first the front, 2nd a walk around the right side, and the back of the actual house.

The Penguin steals the Batmobile!
Переглядів 38 тис.3 роки тому
Several villains in the 1966 Batman TV series had the nerve to steal the Batmobile, the Riddler, Bookworm, Catwoman, King Tut, and the Sandman. The Mad Hatter tried but was foiled by the Anti-Theft Device, but only the Penguin had the gall to steal it and re-brand and rename it the "Birdmobile" (he also called it a black vulture!) Here are the scenes from "The Penguin Goes Straight" with a grea...
Hold tight... Brace for Bat-Turn!

The 5 examples of the EMERGENCY BAT-TURN in the TV series Batman. The Batmobile can quickly rotate 180 degrees while driving (parachutes deployed) or standing still. Of course the Parachute Pickup van was added to prevent littering on the roads!
Holy Bat-Board.....2005
Переглядів 4393 роки тому
Way back in the "early" days, before facebook an youtube were the main internet sites, there was a great 1966 Batman board which then was moderated by Lee K. and Scott S. plus others. One fateful November day in 2005, poof, the boardhost suffered a failure on it's system. When it finally got backonline I made this video. Shows several random clips from the TV show. The board is still active, ww...
The 1966 Batmobile hood opened, speedometer, & actual V8 engine heard!
Переглядів 193 тис.3 роки тому
Wear your seat belts, obey the speed laws, you can't trust a prison trusty! Note that in this episode is one of the few times (twice) the show that the Futura Batmobile's hood is opened. Notice the Batmobile probably needs a tune up or another quart of oil! At the end you can hear it's the actual car's classic V-8 engine along with the atomic and turbine whine! (and the speedometer was just an ...

The self driving 1966 Batmobile

Batman and Robin are about to be hurled to their death! Holy Oh No! Batman does some some quick witted math and a driver less programmed Batmobile is started....will it get there in time? (Note: the Batmobile must have a great sensory grid as it suddenly stops and nods to allow some kids to cross!)

I was kid watching this when it came out This car is my Hero!
I love how there's a specific, lit-up button for every possible eventuality, even a button to activate an automatic tire repair system. The interior of the batmobile must have a magical extra-big size dash to fit them all!
The jet engine is just a decoy. The real power comes from the hemi.
Wears Bat-radiation gloves to handle tongs. Then just hands the tongs and gloves to Alfred with no protection. After he filled the Batmobile with radioactive gas. I’m beginning to think Alfred wasn’t old. He just looked that way from Radiation poisoning. I mean, he did LIVE ABOVE a nuclear reactor.
Growing up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, I once met Grandpa walking down my block of 90th Street...I was around 5 or 6 and got him to autograph my arm because I didn't have any paper..! He looked the same without his make-up..!
Don't let Robin do your oil changes Batman.
Batman says ‘increase the power to 17,000 kW’ which is around 23,000 hp. Not bad for a car …
Who is that bust of that the button is located
growing up watching batman was so cool, couldn't wait to see part 2 of a cliff hanging episode , i will forever remember the red blinking phones, bruce wayne's study and the batpoles headed straight down to the amazing batcave , i just love that show , r.i.p. to all the actors in that show that have passed on now
Loved this show as a young kid back in the 60's, and still love it today. That was the brilliance of the production, it appealed to both young and old.
I've seen a few Batman Episodes on a black and white TV in 1989. My parents had mentioned that it was common in the 1960's. Have a nice day/night.
So if bruce accidentally rides down dicks pole....lol. Bruce would be the man wonder.
At 0:38 what is he shifting, the car is still in park, and it is an automatic?
Notice that the jet engine is shut off when the chutes are deployed
No fair! I want a batpole! I suspect that a good part of what makes renovated fire houses such popular real estate is the presence of their poles...
Adam West once commented on driving the Batmobile. The open cockpit design captured the wind and made conversation while driving impossible due to the noise. The steering was sloppy and the suspension purposely mushy so stops would look more dramatic.
I like how Batman is putting on his bat bat over his gloves regular bat gloves 🦇 🧤..... (Adam Weat voice) "When dealing with criminal Feline cosplay fem fatals such as the Catwoman, one can never have too much protection ......."
"The Catwoman has unsheeved her claws again" ......
Alfred handling “atomic fuel” with his bare hands 😼😼😼
I’m 62 and remember seeing this scene as a young kid and totally enthralled. I now wonder what it must have been like for people who were born at the turn of the century (1900) watching this for the first time on their TV, especially when project Gemini and Apollo where in full swing. What an exciting time.
There was a slight advancement in the Bat-turn from the first to second use of it-from just a fancy-ass u-turn to turning around on a dime. I regularly say “emergency Bat-turn” whenever I have to do a u-ey.
If youre ever in LA, you can hike up to the batcave in the Hollywood Hills. You just cant go in it anymore.
I love how ridiculous it this show is
This was a scene from the show.
14 years ago fooling viewers with a April fools video (look at the full description)
All of Bruce Wayne's money and he couldn't throw some asphalt down over the dirt?!?!?😁😅
I sometimes wonder if Alfred didn't feel like the babysitter of two big kids or the warden of a small, subterranean insane asylum.
Probably the world's first hybrid vehicle...
In the future, the Penguin really ought to invest in a pistol. Or two. Just saying.
What?! They just left the net? Littering is a bad look, Batman... A day later someone's kids were bouncing on it in their backyard. 😊
Let's see the Batgirl cycle do THAT.
Before there was Knightrider, there was... the Batmobile! 😮
17 million watts seems like it might be more than the batmobile actually needs, unless they are driving across the universe.
How is it that they used this five times, and even had a Batmobile parachute pickup service, and I have no memory of it?!
Where was Spot? I thought Spot was under the stars
What a lucky break that the signs Bruce & Dick were not there when this occurred.
1st ship needed seats in the cockpit.
I bet Joker was sick as a dog going up and down on the Batpoles.
I KNEW IT!! I KNEW THEY PLAYED 3D CHESS IN A COUPLE EPISODES!!! Thank you for your service, dude ✌✌
Thinking about the physics of how on-screen Batmen survives impending impacts, I can't help but remember the Keaton and Basinger characters on a rope. They lose their grip on a tower ledge. They fall. He uses his speargun sidearm, iirc. Somehow it's got the propulsive force to send rope & grapple upward at a rate sufficiently faster than that of the fall. They're shown surviving despite no apparent harnesses and a visibly non-stretchy rope. And, as for Bale's stuntman & babe with him being safely cushioned after a fall by a parked motor vehicle, is it fair to say that that makes even less sense? Back to the catapult situation shown here: what kind of cushioning do two aerialists need to have a chance at surviving such a long trajectory?
I'm tempted to ask ChatGPT if the cube root of Pi has anything to do with calculating catapult trajectories but, wow, does that feel like a waste of time and resources.
Note the give-and-take of tech upgrades through the decades. Imagine a similar scene with Batman's remote device having a touchscreen. Naturally, he'd complement it with touchscreen gloves, so that's no big issue, but using it behind his back would be about hopeless. Then again, if he's prepped an accessibility feature...
Holly molly. That was impressive
Remember, then came "The Anti Matter Man"!
Mobile phone technology. GPS technology and SatNav. Sustainable (nuclear/atomic) power. The 1966 Batmobile was far more advanced than I thought! 😮
U was on the verge of buying of these, but could not get a bay seat to fit.
Batman can solve complex crimes, but needs big signs to distinguish two buttons in his car 😂
Pulling the Emergency Bat-Turn Lever doesn't cause the parachutes to deploy everytime. See Chief OHara scene. So, There must be another button?
I like the way they run everywhere. They never walk lol😂.
Filler up and check the oil Alfred. Do I look like your bitch?
